5/5 expertise and service! Got the battery of my macbook pro and iphone 11 PRO changed as well as a new screen and screen protector, all work great ! I can finally use my laptop as a laptop and not a desktop, phone screen has same sensitivity as original one, smashed the screen pretty hard a week after and the screen protector still olds and works. Super satisfied and can't compete with the pricing either. Rick was very arranging as per when to get service and fun to talk to! The Stem was recommended to me and I will recommend it no doubt !!

I have an older laptop that had gotten really slow and the battery would only last about 40 min as well. I was debating whether or not I should just buy a new one vs paying to fix my current one. I took it in to Rick at The Stem to check it out as he was close to me and is a small business. He had the diagnosis done the same day in a couple hours and quoted me a very reasonable amount to fix the issues I was having. I prefer keeping things working than just throwing them away once one small problem occurs. He had my laptop for less than a day which was very appreciated as I use it for both personal and business activities. I’ll definitely reach out to The Stem next time I need work done on my computer or phone.

We’ve taken a few devices to The Stem Support, and every experience has been outstanding. Rick fixed our iPad screen, changed an Apple phone battery, brought a 2015 MacBook back to life, and even revived a 2009 iMac we thought was beyond saving! Both computers had a mix of hardware and software issues, yet everything now runs perfectly — and all for a fraction of what we would’ve paid at Apple. Honest, skilled, and reliable. Got my iPhone screen replaced last fall and it was quick and easy and the phone was perfect once I got it back — was able to return to my carrier at the end of my contract with zero issues and this saved me a ton of money.

After calling a few places, this was by far the best deal. Communication was good, repair was quick and I haven’t had any issues with my phone since. Would gladly go back if I needed to.

Stem Group has done a number of repairs to family iPhones and MacBook Pro units. Service has always been prompt, reasonable cost and long term reliable. I highly recommend them for computer and mobile phone repairs as well as software upgrades.

Rick is a very honest and knowledgeable computer tech. He did a great job sourcing and upgrading the ram on my laptop, and even threw in a free clean that ended up taking longer than the upgrade. He's very capable at working on more than just apple products, also.

Rick is probably one of the most honest and upfront gentleman I've had the privilege of doing business with. He gives options and suggestions where they count and you don't for one second feel like you're being nickel and dimed, either. For quality, speed, and far beyond exceptional pricing. No other repair shop in the city matches what the stem has to offer. A total hidden gem in the heart of bowness. What other shops quoted me $400.00 plus on repair, rick came in at $204.75 with gst and I had my phone back within the hour. He genuinely cares about his clients, even offered me a loaner phone to use my sim card in while conducting the repair. Which is unheard of ! Class act alll around. Thanks again, Rick!

During Christmas Holidays The Stem was able to replace the worn out phone battery in my daughter’s iPhone X in record time with a super new battery much better than the original and for a price that was great value. Watching Rick work his magic, especially on some tri-point screws that looked stripped to me, was a real pleasure. Scheduling the work was smoothly done. Once Rick had the battery a text was sent to set up a time that worked for us to do the repair - I found it very convenient. I’ve used The Stem a number of times over the years and always pleased with the results. Rick knows his stuff, takes great care in his work and tries his best to accommodate customers needs. The Stem is a Bowness treasure that my family trusts. Here’s an update (Mar/26): My other child’s iPhone XS started having big issues with their battery not charging anymore. Rick was able to source a great battery and get it installed & working in great fashion. I understand this repair was done during a supplier change that made it harder to source the battery but Rick put in maximum effort to look after this customer. Just like always. Update 2024: Rick saved the day again with an LG Velvet screen replacement at the best price! Original: Rick saved the day with an iPhone 7 screen replacement for the best price. He was very accommodating in ensuring that the repair was done soon and it was clear that he knows exactly what he was doing. I know exactly where to go know for any future repairs and feel good about keeping the business local.

Rick was absolutely amazing! I had a cracked screen and other companies were trying to charge me double what he did. He did a great job. It was fast. Affordable and great service! 10/10 recommendation!

Simple non-embellishing comment is all that’s needed here. Yes he’s very respectful to speak with, yes he explains things to you without hesitation, and yes I would certainly recommend anyone. He will get our families business until the government removes hand held devices and we’re all walking around with some tiny chips imbedded in our body. Cracked my IPhone screen, had it fixed and on my way within a hour at a great price also. I was happy walking out, screen has worked flawless…..but then…they reach out a few weeks later on text to ask if everything is still working ok, that’s next level customer service that’s lost these day, this is the place to go.
