iPhone 7 Loop Disease

A few months ago I encounter a highly unusual issue after an iPhone 7 repair! Upon testing the screen, I noticed I count hear from the earpiece… nothing to crazy considering the flex cable that controls the speaker is incredibly flimsy! Swapping it out provided no joy though.. and I noticed a lil something else that was odd… the speakerphone, add call and FaceTime options were greyed out!

iPhone 7 Audio Issue Getting to Lawsuit Point

After a bit of research, I found plenty of chatter online regarding this, including details of the actual issue. The so called Loop Disease has many victims! It turns out that much like the iPhone 6 Touch Disease, the logic board flexibility is causing the chip solder to break, severing contact with the logic board.

Apple acknowledged the issue internally with notes to it’s service providers, but has yet to acknowledge it publicly. So while the lawsuit proceeds and the inevidable repair program launches, we can take care of it for you!
